    Open the ZIP and move Py Editor into Applications.

  2. Choose your starting point

    Open a folder, create a project or pick a bundled example.

  3. Prepare and run

Is it a trial?

No. The free Mac app unlocks all app features with no app subscription. AI providers and other external services may charge separately.

Will it run on my Mac?

The free Mac app supports Apple silicon and Intel Macs with macOS 13 or later.

Do I need to install Python first?

Python is included. Some advanced projects need Helper, a project environment and additional packages; the setup guide walks you through them.

Can I use the Mac App Store instead?

Yes. The store app has its own features and purchase options. The two Mac apps replace one another when installed, so save and back up your projects before switching. Open the Mac App Store listing.

How do updates work?
